Castlevania: Dark Haven (Alternate Ending) I give credit to the people who created Castlevania's bad Carrie ending. Now I'm writing a version of the story which I wish was written out there or at least finished. If you like, I'll continue. "The strength of this evil surpasses even Dracula's foul aura. Malus. What are you?" Carrie asked while she refused to accept the truth before her. "I did not expect you to defeat my servant. Such power." The blue haired, purple eyed Malus replied. "Enough! Now you face the dark lord himself!" he continued with a tone of finale. "What? Not Dracula? You?... The dark lord? Oh no!" Carrie replied when realization dawned upon her. A bright light then enveloped Malus as he transformed into his true form. The unholy light was so bright, that Carrie had to look away. When it faded, There stood an older, more intimidating Malus with longer blue locks. He was quite pale and his ears were longer. As the moonlight shined down upon his frame, he appeared more devilish. He brushed aside a few wisps of hair to stare back at her which seemed to stare down into the depths of her soul. "I, Dracula Vlad Tepes." With a stern voice. Carrie then stood with the compassionate smile long gone and in its place an unreadable expression. "Why? I've learned that I can't trust adults, but now I find that I can't trust those around my age either? Was it all a lie? Did you use me just to amuse your self!" Dracula, for the first time started smirking. "Honestly, your such a naïve little girl that it was just so easy that it be a crime not to. You easily follow and trust a complete stranger with blind faith. You are so gullible, that I just couldn't resist." He shrugged, as he found amusement as he saw her emotionless face before him. He chuckled a bit at that. *So easily manipulated, yes...* he thought. Just then, Charlie Vincent, self proclaimed nobody vampire hunter decided it was the perfect time to strike and threw a handful of holy water at Dracula, catching him by surprise. Dracula burst into holy flames, as a scowl now marked his face. Vincent stood triumphant on the opposite side of Carrie, behind Dracula as he took out a cross and waved it around for all to see in hopes to weaken the dark lord further. "Take that you demon! Know that you will be vanquished by Charlie Vincent! You shall not leave this place in one piece!" Vincent spoke with a cocky tone. If only he knew that he had only irritated Vlad, but far from killed him. "You worm! Know your place mortal! I'll crush you like the worm YOU ARE!" and with his right palm open, Vincent was not prepared for the vacuum which pulled him flying through the air and into Dracula's iron grasp upon his wind pipe. "I tire of you." Vlad spoke in only a whisper which sent shivers down Vincent's flesh. As he was about to end the mortals life here and now, a stern British looking man in a business suit arrived from thin air. Dracula raised an eyebrow at this. "I would appreciate it if you release your victim, Dracula." He spoke. What surprised Vincent was that he did after some reluctance. Jumping back, Vincent flung the giant cross over his shoulder before him in a defensive position before thanking the new arrival as the dark lord crossed his hands. "Thank you youth. But I had everything under control." Vincent assured the man. "But who are you?" "My, what bad memories you have? I'm Renon. Even though you may not remember me. I'm sure you remember this." he spoke while taking out a paper contract. "Yes, what about it?" he asked curiously, while keeping an eye on his prey. "See here? You owe me your soul. It says here that if you should spend too much on wares which I sell or another demon, you are entitled to give me your soul. It's right here above the dotted line you see." As Renon pointed out in the unidentifiable demonic writing which no mortal or few could comprehend. Even though his face may not have showed it, an eerie feeling was sinking through his mind. He only wanted to be as prepared as he could be against the dark lord when the time came, so he had spent much of his money until he was carrying almost too much to walk around. If he had known, he would never have signed a contract with a demon. They were sneaky as they were evil. They were also pretty smart, especially the ones that could talk. Because they could talk, they could think. He cursed himself for what he did, would become his undoing. "I will never surrender to you lowly demons! Go back to the hell's in which you came and I'll let you live!" Vincent shouted, but inside he had a sinking feeling of what his reply was going to be. This was a demon he was dealing with. Renon frowned at this, as his victim wasn't going to go willingly. But then after a second of thought, he smiled sinisterly. This was usually the way things went and he enjoyed what he did. "I knew this would happen. That's why I'm here to reinforce this. We will have your soul, one way or another." And as he finished, he transformed into a creature of darkness from the very pits of hell. Vincent panicked, and was about to defend himself from whatever onslaught this abomination on the mortal plain was going to pull. But it was a lost cause, as Dracula before a spectator and watching the events unfold, grasped Vincent from the back in place. Struggling was futile. The floor beneath him began to open into a portal as hands of tortured souls and the damned reached out to pull Vincent to his fate. He had no choice but to accept his fate, and went screaming all the way to the very last second. The hands had pulled off flesh as it scrapped its newest victim down below. A smile broke from Dracula as he waved goodbye to his old pal Renon from the underworld. He too vanished soon after with appreciation. So distracted was he, that he forgot about the young girl behind him long enough that she had almost decapitated him from his body with her razor hoops. The wound was not that deadly, as it sealed itself once more after a few seconds, but it would not go unpunished. He opened his palms once more but was caught off guard as he received a magical blast instead. His fingers smoking had left a shocked expression upon his face as he realized how worthy of an opponent was before him. This mortal would entertain him well. *It would be a waste to let such power escape my grasp.* "Such power. Join me and you shall live-" "NEVER! I'll NEVER TRUST YOU OR ANYONE AGAIN!" was her reply thick with vengeance and hate. She leapt at him with an energy blast charged in one hand and razor hoop in the other. Vlad reacted accordingly and dodged the hoop gliding to the left then teleporting away from the energy blast. As he finished she was already charging another one. This was getting too dangerous for his tastes. A worthy opponent was one thing, but one driven by such hate was a beautiful thing, but it increased ones reflexes and caliber in battle. This one before him, was indeed a worthy opponent. As such, she was not to be taken lightly, or it would be his downfall. He dodged left and right and shot hellish flames from his palms, she ran around and leaping away from its path while charging yet another of her devastating orbs. Finally she made a mistake and jumped right where Dracula appeared out of thin air and was clenched in his grasp while she remained struggling in mid air, trying with all her might to claw out of a grip which was not visible. "I'll kill you yet!" Carrie shot out as she somehow managed to dispel whatever was keeping her in the air. She landed on her feet and prepared to hurtle another of her specialties, but was caught off guard as Dracula appeared before her and clenched both hands in one, making attacking impossible. "You try to kill me the dark lord by yourself, but a Belmont you are not. What hopes do you worm have, against one such as I? I am a GOD on the mortal plain! You are beneath me. Your fate I shall decide." Tears burst from Carries eyes as she realized she had lost, and was at the mercy of the one which she had sworn to kill, Dracula. *Mother I have failed you. I will be coming soon.* her thoughts wandered. She still burned with determination, even though things looked grim, she still had a fire in her crimson eyes. *Such determination, such will. Just like Lisa.* Vlad thought. Their eyes met, as crystallized red met tainted purple. *Was that recognition I spotted in his eyes? Could it be. Malus!* the naïve girls train of thought plunged. "Malus, I know your still there! Don't let him control you!" she cried with desperation. "." "Please! I know you can hear me! Malus! Malus!!! Don't let him use you like he did me! Fight him! Please!" Vlad then began to loosen his grasp upon Carrie and clenched his head with both hands as he appeared to have an inner struggle of control over the body. As Carrie watched, she stood back and prepared to end it if her hopes proved wrong. As Vlad started curling into a ball upon the floor, another bright light enveloped him. A look of relief but suspicion replaced Carrie as Malus reverted back to the body of a child. She took a step back as Malus began to stir and get up. A look of confusion was plastered upon his delicate face. "Malus?" Malus looked toward to voice and saw Carrie. "Carrie? Is that you? What happened? Where am I?" A sigh of relief appeared on her eased face. "Don't worry, let's get out of here." *I better not tell him of Dracula. It's best if he did not find out. He is too young to be burdened by ill thoughts of what he possesses. I've grown up so much over the few days after I arrived. I'm glad it's all over.* The sun was rising as they left the crumbling draw bridge of the once ominous castle. It was strange in the fact that the castle didn't seem to totally crumble away. The two walked upon a dirt path in the forest of silence. Monsters no longer inhabited the area, which eased Carrie a bit. As they began to walk and make light conversation out of the tainted castle, Malus spoke what was in his heart. "Carrie?" they both stopped and she turned around to face him. "Yes?" "When we get back to the village, will you marry me?" Malus asked with a serious tone. "What?" Carrie replied with a look of surprise. "Please say you will! Please say you will be my bride!" "I will protect you with my life! I'll love you always!" "You will do that? For me?" Carrie responded with a feeling of warmth as she pointed lightly upon herself. "This is so sudden, we're too young!" she continued even though she had feelings for the boy. "So when we grow up, then we will be married?" "Hmm. Maybe." "Please! I need you to promise me now!" he replied pleadingly. "Okay, when you grow up, I will be your bride. Is that okay?" she asked, suddenly finding her feet most interesting to look at. A dark look replaced Malus's once innocent face. "Good. We now have a binding contract." *Your mine now!* "What did you say? Malus?" Carrie replied, hoping her ears were playing tricks on her.
