PG CHAPTER ONE; 8 years later Alucard's eyes opened slowly, the confusion in his mind vanished after a few moments as he sat up removing the lid of his coffin. "Father? Is that his power I sense? But...it's somehow different. I was sensing this power growing for eight years now...but I could only wake today. Why is it?" Carrie sighed, running her hand threw her long bangs as she finished tying her hair into a long thick braid. She was twenty now, and had matured in looks greatly since she went to Dracula's castle. Yes, she had grown from a cute kid into a beautiful woman. Her rusty colour jumper fit her curves and large chest perfectly, it went tightly around her slim waist, bringing out the shape of her perfect body. Underneath the jumper she wore a milky white shirt, that matched her rest of her clothes perfectly. Yawning she got to her feet, and headed towards her door to pick some apples for her morning breakfast. On her way out she grabbed an large rusty sun-hat from the coat rack and placed it on top of her head, the sun had been so hot lately, she was sure her brain would fry without it. Carrie jumped, trying to reach an apple from the large tree, in front of her small little house, but failed each time to reach it. Huffing irritably, she charged up a pale green orb, and sent it hurling at the branch. It knocked the apple off the tree, but the apple was burnt black and no longer eatable. "Awww, damn." "Carrie." An amused voice came from behind her. She jumped startled turning around ready to attack but sighed in relief as she saw Mauls standing behind her. Mauls had grown up to be quite an hansom man, and the 'dream guy' of almost every girl in the village. She could not say she blamed them. He was tall, muscular, slim, and his dark purplish-blue hair went down to his waist in glowing locks, which shown like an angels in the sun. He was a very beautiful man, and Carrie could never quite figure out why he never got over his childhood crush over her. "Hello, Mauls. How are you?" "I'm fine, but you know Carrie, there ARE better ways to get apples from a tree rather then burning them into cinders." Grinning he reached up and pulled a shiny red apple down from a high branch, tossing it to her playfully. "Well, I suppose yes, but that way works only when your tall." Carrie smiled. "Thanks." "No problem!" "So, Mauls, what brings you hear today?" " I vist you everyday, and it's always to see that beautiful face of yours, but today, I've come for another reason also." "What is it?" Mauls kneeled taking her hand in his. "My fair maiden, I'd be delighted if you would accompany me to the lake today." "Alright. But I can't go right now, I need to pick some stuff up from the market." "That's fine, I'll help you, and then we'll go to the lake." "Ok, then. Let's go." Alucard walked threw the village, in confusion. Castlevania, the castle that singled his father's return was no where in sight, and the villagers seemed peaceful, and no monsters were in sight for miles. '....Why would I wake, if my father is no where to be found? What's going on....?' Carrie paid for some fruit, while Mauls got the meat. '....Mauls....' she thought with a dreamy sigh. He had been so kind to her ever since they were kids. She was quite sure she was falling for him, even though she would not like to admit it. "Hey CARRIE!!!" Carrie jumped startled and turned quickly around to see Melica, a fifteen year old girl that looked up to Carrie as her idol ever since she had defeated Dracula. She also had quite a crush on Mauls. Melica was a descendant of Maria Renard. No one knew who the father of Maria's baby was and some speculated it was Alucard, so Melica was often teased that her great grandfather was the devil. She was a perky girl, short tempered, selfish, and a little thieve. Not the best blood to come out of the Renard family to say the least. She was very short, scrawny, had thick black hair and blue eyes, and wore clothes that the people found sinful considering her clothes were a very short black skirt and a very tight mid-drift black top. "Hey, Melica, how are you today?" "Oh am fine! Can't be better!! So is Mauls with ya?" "Yes, he's buying some meat for me." "He always buys the meat! I can't stand going around that raw bloody stuff, icky! I mean, all gooey and raw? Gross-arama! " "It's not that bad, Melica." Mauls smirked as approched the two girls. The Renard blushed. "Heh-heh! I guess not! Well, look at the time, I've got to go, grandma will get worried if I'm gone to long! Bye!!" They watched her run off and Mauls shook his head. "There's a black sheep in every family, I suppose." "Yeah, she's getting better though, her grandmother, Maria is teaching her some discipline. " "Well, enough about that, lets bring these things to your house, then we can go, right?" Carrie smiled. "Right." Alucard could not sense his father anywhere, but he sensed another familiar presence and followed it to find an very old woman, with long curling sliver hair, pale face, and cracked lips. As soon as her blue eyes landed on him though, he knew whom she was. "Maria!" "Alucard!" She gasped. She would have ran to him if she was not confined to a wheel chair. "Maria, it has been so long, your still alive?" "Yes...Alucard, why have thou return? Is Dracula awake once again? If he is I quite not believe it." "....A hundred years have not passed yet, I know. But I sense him." "No, Dracula has risen twice in the past Sixteen years. The first I heard an young man named Cornell stopped him, and the second a man named Reinhart Schneider, a descendant of the Belmont's, and a young girl named Carrie defeated him. But that second time...it was different...Dracula kidnapped children...for what purpose I have no idea, but the girl Carrie, she came back with one of the missing children. He's a strange boy, Mauls, I think is his name." "....Hmmm, I wonder why I did not wake... And I wonder why I smell Tepes blood in the village if he is not hear." "Grandma!! Hey! Who are you!" Melica exclaimed as she ran towards the porch Maria sat on. "He's an friend dear. Can you go inside and clean the dishes?" Melica sighed. "Yes grandma." Turning her eyes towards Alucard she hissed before retreating into the house. " Don't you dare hurt grandma!" "....Your grandchild Maria?" "....Yes, my daughter died....Alucard..." "Yes?" " She has Tepes blood." Alucard's eyes widened, and he felt the blood drain from his face. "You mean...she's...*our* grandchild....?" "Yes...she has your father's cursed blood." Maria admitted sadly. "Then...could she had been the evil I was sensing, instead of that of my father...?" '....Because of I, The cursed blood line continues....'
